Halloween Trick or Treating

Trick or Treating usually commences on the build up to Halloween.  The fun event is enjoyed by children who get dressed up in scary or Halloween related costumes and go door knocking in the neighbourhood. 

Most children will knock on doors with the phrase trick-or-treat?  This is when you decide on whether to take the chance and take on the trick the kids have in place for you.  Most children will be satisfied with the treat of sweet, chocolates, biscuits or anything less is full of sugar and is bad for your teeth.

Did you know?

Trick or treating originated from a medieval practice that was performed called ‘Souling’.  The not so wealthy would knock on people’s doors hoping to receive food in exchange for their prayers for the families deceased.
